My History
Hi, my name is James Hill and I'm a website designer with a huge passion for creating beautiful, engaging, and accessible websites that get results for my clients. I have over 5 years experience and a client base ranging from as far away as Eastern Africa, to as close to home as Leeds.
I've worked on projects for large and small businesses, even charities, and been lucky enough to have my work featured in various design showcases. Prior to this I gained valuable agency experience working for advertsising and web design agencies in Leeds and Harrogate.
Im passionate about typography, the web, usability, accessibility and great design. Design isn't just a job for me, its something I love to do. I count myself very lucky to make a living being creative.
I specialise in standards-based XHTML, CSS and JavaScript web development. Each site I develop is built to be search engine friendly, using the latest development principles and techniques.
When I'm not designing I'm either out on my bike or snowboarding in the Alps and occasionally I visit remote countries in the World

My Process
1 Planning - It's never best to dive into a project all guns blazing. That's why I always begin with research, analysis and careful information architecture. From gaining the answers to these questions I'll begin by creating a basic 'wireframe' of your website. This helps us both find out the best way of laying out your website and ensuring your visitors are able to find what they're looking for in a flash. This phase helps set the tone for the rest of your project.
2 Design - Now that I've got your requirements sorted, its time to move onto the design stage. Here I'll use the structure established in the planning phase to create a visually appealing user interface for your website. Great design and usability lie at the core of this phase.

4 Manage - Now that your site has launched it doesn't mean we can sit back and relax. I am able to provide maintenance and offer optimisation services to boost your traffic and establish your beautiful new website. I'll look at how users are interacting with your site so we can be sure your customers are getting the best possible user experience.
